The ideal climate for enlightened minds: Our conference centre has international flair and is nestled in the palace garden surrounding a late baroque manor near the city of Leipzig.

GIZ International Training Centre Leipzig-Zschortau been in existence for over 30 years. Until 1990 it was an international agricultural training centre. Following German unification and with support from the Free State of Saxony, it has became a symbol of unified German international cooperation.

Over 400 executives from all over the world visit us each year to take advantage of GIZ’s expert range of advanced training programmes.

Seminar rooms and equipment

Our centre comprises two conference and seminar rooms (145 and 80 square metres), a combined seminar/working group room (55 square metres), modern media and seminar technology, a computer centre with internet access, outdoor learning, a hotel with 43 single rooms (shower, WC, telephone), an in-house restaurant that lives up to even the most demanding international standards, a shady beer garden, and sufficient parking. The manor was renovated and expanded by an additional 400 square metres of conference space by the Free State of Saxony.

Location

At the centre of the palace garden, our centre creates an optimal setting where participants can concentrate on learning in a relaxed, quiet atmosphere. The park-like garden of around six hectares was designed to resemble an English landscape garden complete with a pond at the end of the 19th century.

The city of Leipzig with its many attractions is quite close.
