Inwent Office Jakarta

The regional office in Jakarta serves as Inwent’s coordination and program office for Indonesia, the Philippines, Timor Leste and the ASEAN Secratariat. The regional office establishes and maintains networks with partner organizations in the region and supports Inwent’s headquarter in the development and implementation of programs in Germany and in the region.

The main tasks of the Regional Office are:

• Support the planning, organization and implementation of Inwent’s capacity building programs in the region
• Gather information and needs on international human resources development in the region
• Planning and development of new programs
• Establishment and maintaining contact and networking with national and regional partner organizations in Indonesia, the Philippines, Timor Leste and the ASEAN Secretariat
• Observation and assessment of the development in the region
• Analysis of national and regional strategies of other donors for the region
• Networking with European and international development organizations in the region
• Cooperation and consultation with clients
• Contribution to policy dialogues and to the development of sector strategies and concepts for the region
• Collaboration in the German country teams and cooperation with other German development organizations and the German Embassies
• Cooperation with the Alumni Associations of Inwent in the region
• Establishment and maintaining national and regional networks and learning communities with partners (Alumni Program)

Other regional offices of Inwent in Asia are in Hanoi (for Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia), in Beijing (for China) and in New Delhi (for India).
