The GIZ Information and Learning Centre provides information in the field of development cooperation, developing countries and global structural policy. Commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Documentation Centre and Library acts as a mediator of knowledge and information for the benefit of public and private institutions and persons active in the field of German development cooperation. Furthermore, it helps to strengthen public approval of development policy objectives in Germany.
Our services in the provision of information and knowledge are:
The GIZ library is a scientific library, specialised in development cooperation, developing countries and global structural policy. The information comprises 80,000 books, mainly in German and English, about 400 journals, 65,000 articles, and 400 CD-ROMs and DVDs. The library is the largest provider of information in the field of development cooperation in Germany.

The World Bank’s Public Information Center (PIC) Europe works with a network of information partners in several European countries. In relation with PIC, World Bank Information Partners offer the following services: access to Bank publications and documents; general information on the World Bank; access to the World Bank website and specific WB information sites. Services provided vary from one Kiosk to another.
In Germany the GIZ library manages such a World Bank Information Kiosk.
